Answering the Call
There is an ever-present call that stirs in the hearts of all who would but listen…
For some, it is a soft, subtle nudge or gentle whisper; yet for others, it is a full-blown symphony of anthemic proportions, subdued only when its melody is fully embraced and its invitation is answered with a resounding “YES!”
This is the call of the gypsy spirit: The part in each of us that revels in exploration, discovery, and the experience of what it means to feel fully alive and boundlessly free. While our daily creature comforts and routines can provide a jumping-off point of perceived security and stability, a soul who gives herself/himself permission to reach and venture onward, upward, and forward into the new, the different, and the unexplored, often comes away far richer, far brighter, and far bigger than one living for bread and water alone.
